Jaques Aigrain
Swiss Re, CEO & Member of the Executive Board CommitteeIn June 2001 Mr. Aigrain joined Swiss Re as Head Financial Services Business Group and Member of the Executive Board Committee. In August 2005, the Board of Directors appointed him Chief Executive Officer with effect from 1 January 2006.
Mr. Aigrain started his career with JPMorgan in 1981 and had various functions in investment banking in London, Paris and New York, including co-head, and eventually co-head of investment banking client coverage. He was also a member of JPMorgan's Investment Bank management committee.
Lars Thunell
IFC, CEO & EVPMr. Thunell is leading IFC (International Finance Corporation) in its mission to promote sustainable private sector development. Before joining the Corporation in January 2006, he had a successful career in the financial services industry. Most recently, he was the Chief Executive Officer of SEB, a North European commercial and investment bank. In the 1990s, Mr. Thunell served as the Chief Executive Officer of Trygg-Hansa, a Swedish insurance company, and as Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Nordbanken. He was also President and Chief Executive Officer of Securum, an asset management company established by the Swedish government. Previously, he worked at ABB Zurich and at American Express in New York.
Doris Leuthard
Minister of Economic Affairs, SwitzerlandAs Head of the Federal Department of Economic Affairs (FDEA), Federal Councillor Leuthard is one of the seven members of the executive authority of the Swiss Government. The FDEA is the competence centre of the Swiss Government for all core issues related to economic affairs and trade policies.
Prior to assuming her current position as Head of the FDEA on 1 August 2006, Mrs. Leuthard had been a member of the National Council for seven years and president of the Christian Democratic People's Party since 2004.
Rachel Kyte
IFC, VP Business Advisory ServicesMs. Kyte joined IFC in 2000 as a Senior Specialist, Ombudsman, in the Office of the Compliance Advisor/Ombudsman. In 2004 she became Director for Environment and Social Development, where she led the introduction of new performance standards and IFC's expanded sustainability and disclosure policies. Most recently, she played a key role in shaping IFC’s approach to climate change.
Prior to joining IFC, Ms. Kyte was a member of the management team of the World Conservation Union – IUCN.
