![]() | Ivo Knoepfel, Founder & Managing Director, onValues Ltd.Ivo is Managing Director of onValues, an independent investment consultancy supporting institutional investors (pension funds, foundations, family offices) in their efforts to integrate ESG criteria in active ownership and investment management. He is a Certified International Investment Analyst and holds the degree of Swiss portfolio manager. He was previously Head of Rating and Index Research at SAM Research Ltd. and Head of Corporate Environmental Management at Swiss Re. Ivo regularly publishes on issues relevant to long-term and sustainable investing, and is a member of several industry bodies and associations, including the Swiss Financial Analyst Association.Ivo studied process engineering at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) and holds a PhD in environmental law, economics and science. |
![]() | Paul Frentrop, Head of Corporate Governance, APG Asset ManagementAPG administers the collective pension scheme for 2.7 million Dutch government & educational workers. Prior to joining APG, Paul was the director of the European shareholder consultancy firm Deminor. Paul previously worked at merchant bank MeesPierson as company secretary and started his career as a financial editor for the newspaper NRC Handelsblad. His publications include: "A History of Corporate Governance (1602-2002)" and a biography of the former ReedElsevier chairman P. Vinken. |
Doris M. Schönemann, Vice-Chairperson, AHV, (Swiss Federal Social Security Fund)Doris M. Schönemann founded Investor's Dialogue GmbH, an independent financial planning company in Zürich in 1994. She teaches post-graduate courses in Behavioural Finance and „Financial Literacy“ at Swiss Universities.Priorly, she headed the private banking division of Bank Leu Ltd between 1991 and 1993 and was director of economic research and marketing of Zürcher Kantonalbank between 1985 and 1991. Doris M. Schönemann acts as Vice-Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Ausgleichsfonds der Alters- und Hinterlassenenversicherung AHV, (the Swiss Federal Social Security Fund and Survivors Insurance (AHV) and is a Member of the Board of Sustainable Performance Group AG, Zürich. She holds a PhD in economics. |
![]() | Raj Thamotheram, Senior Advisor, AXA Investment Managers Raj joined AXA Investment Managers (AXA IM) in June 2006 as Director, Responsible Investment (RI) and was responsible for building the new RI team. He recently transitioned into an advisory/thought-leadership role. Prior to joining AXA IM, he was the senior advisor for RI at the Universities Superannuation Scheme, the second largest UK pension fund for nearly six years. He has been nominated twice by Global Proxy Watch as one of the 10 most influential figures in the corporate governance field (2004 & 2008), most recently for his role in the launch of the Network for Sustainable Financial Markets. Prior to working in the investment world, Raj has been a consultant in corporate responsibility. He has also worked in the NGO world and was founder director of Saferworld and international head of advocacy at ActionAid. Raj holds a BSc in Pharmacology and a MBCHB from Bristol University. |

SAM Indexes is part of SAM, a Switzerland-based and internationally active investment group with an exclusive focus on sustainability. Established in 1995, SAM was among the first companies to specialize in sustainability investments and to identify sustainability leaders worldwide. Alexander studied economics at the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland, followed by a Ph.D. at the university's Institute of Sociology. He remains connected to the academic world as president of the oikos foundation – an organization that supports the integration of sustainability issues into teaching and research at faculties for economics and management worldwide. |
